As far as I know, the cause of the fire wasn't determined. But, you can get the Bill Leslie version at the WRAL website. I'm sure you can search them.
I understood that people were able to return to their homes today - Sat.

So exactly what happened?

I can definitely see how it got out of hand. Anyone know how it started. Give me the Bill Leslie version.

That's what happens when you have a petroleum storage area next to a chemical storage area because it's the only spot in town zoned for it. Cary/Apex has some bad kharma. Dang those Yankees and their silly ways.

Well it's good to hear you escaped the funky yellow cloud.

The flat tire at wal-mart in the rain sounds interesting.

have I ever told you about the time I got hustled in the wal mart parking lot to buy a rap cd?

$8. One of the few times I actually had $8 in one place AFter shopping at wal mart.

More pertaining to Car trouble in parking lots, Dig this.

Last Wednesday I fell asleep in my car in the Mcdonalds parking lot and my battery went dead. When I asked someone for a jump. He refused. I later figured out that it was because they were going to their lunch menu and the cat had 2 minutes to get a eggamuffin.

It was sunny though instead of rainy. And I happened to be without 2 kids, so I guess its different.

Glad everything is cool there, seriously.

No problems or effects here in good ole' Laurel Hills.

Except for a flat tire today at the Super Wal-mart in the pouring rain, our day was well.

Everybody around here is fine. We actually had some friends in town that were staying near Apex. They couldn't tell that anything was going on.

It's giving the news folks something new to talk about.

That being said they did evacuate a pretty large area around the scene. I bet it killed traffic around the area.
